When we set out to throw this event, we didn’t expect more than 30 people to show up. It wasn’t because we didn’t believe in ourselves but the truth is, the valley hasn’t had a community gathering like this in ages. But we wanted to change that and be the change we did. Over 150 golfers on the night came out, hit balls, friends were made and with 4 volunteer swing coaches, some even got better.
This is a testament to the brand we’re building, one that celebrates the local community, gives back and makes golf more accessible. While we had a hand in bring together the community together, what was more special was when the community gave back to us. While at the event, a man names on the range came up to me and asked what we were doing - after sharing a quick back story on Range Sesh, he asked to make a donation. Happily accepting, he asked if he could buy the group 5 large buckets. If you’re unfamiliar with the price of a large bucket, they’re $20 EACH! Crazy! And this gentlemen wanted to buy the group 5, all in an effort to say thank you for giving back and creating a space for golfer’s of all levels to come together. 
And that’s how when we knew, we have to come back and make this event a staple. Starting next week, August 20th, we will be hosting Range Sesh every two weeks at Woodley Lakes from 5-8pm. We’d love nothing more than for you to join us next time!
